The full name of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, known as Missile Man and People’s Presidency, who is the eleventh elected President of the Republic of India and the first non-politician president, due to special contribution in science.
 
 
 
He has worked as a scientist for four decades and worked in some of the important organizations of the country (DRDO and ISRO). He played an important role in the Pokhran II nuclear test in 1998.
 
 
 
Dr. Abdul Kalam was also associated with India’s space and missile development program. Because of which he was called ‘Missile Man’. Kalam was the President of India from 2002 to 2007, after which he returned to teaching, writing and public service. He was honored with several prestigious awards including India’s highest civilian honor, Bharat Ratna.
